House prices rise for fifth month in a row“Cheaper mortgages are attracting buyers back to the housing market, says Halifax. On average, prices increased by 0.4 per cent last month compared with January, according to Halifax. Manchester and Liverpool remain top cities for house price growth“The UK housing market has been described as having “three speeds” as performance varies across the country, but Manchester and Liverpool continue to stand out. Honing in on England specifically, the two top-performing cities in terms of annual price growth were Liverpool and Manchester, where property prices increased by 1.1% and 0.8% respectively in the year to January.
