This is 60% higher than the average price for Tokyo\u2019s tall buildings &#8211; and second on the list &#8211; where a square foot sets you back $4,900.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"0Es3XovUGS\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/01\/05\/buyers-china-hong-kong-continue-investing-uk-property-despite-brexit\/\">Why buyers from China and Hong Kong continue investing in UK Property &#8211; despite Brexit<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; clip: rect(1px, 1px, 1px, 1px);\" title=\"&#8220;Why buyers from China and Hong Kong continue investing in UK Property &#8211; despite Brexit&#8221; &#8212; BuyAssociation Group\" src=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/01\/05\/buyers-china-hong-kong-continue-investing-uk-property-despite-brexit\/embed\/#?secret=30h8SBgJqN#?secret=0Es3XovUGS\" data-secret=\"0Es3XovUGS\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Manhattan came in third with average costs per skyscraper square foot of $3,700, followed by San Francisco at $2,500 and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2016\/04\/30\/london-in-top-10-for-most-expensive-rental-cities-in-the-world\/\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">London<\/a> at $2,450.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, the report highlighted the price issue by stating that Hong Kong developer Henderson Land recently paid an incredible $3 billion for a five storey car park. This shows once again the heightened state Hong Kong\u2019s property market is in.<\/p>\n<p>This sale alone sets &#8211; according to Knight Frank\u2019s report &#8211; the world\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2018\/03\/26\/property-price-rises-and-stocks-create-a-million-millionaires-in-hong-kong\/\">most expensive city<\/a> even further apart from the rest and opens up new record levels of property pricing.<\/p>\n<p>Andrew Sim is Knight Frank\u2019s head of global capital market, and commented the findings:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cFor the first time we have comparatively analysed the capital value of the world\u2019s skyscrapers, which are seen by many as a bell weather for the commercial property market as a whole.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"Zw2KMGLgsa\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/05\/30\/london-still-global-home-multi-millionaires\/\">London still global home for multi-millionaires<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; clip: rect(1px, 1px, 1px, 1px);\" title=\"&#8220;London still global home for multi-millionaires&#8221; &#8212; BuyAssociation Group\" src=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/05\/30\/london-still-global-home-multi-millionaires\/embed\/#?secret=qgOlw0s4zz#?secret=Zw2KMGLgsa\" data-secret=\"Zw2KMGLgsa\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>\u201cPricing is highest in Hong Kong which reflects the world\u2019s highest skyscraper rents, and the lack of available land for future development. Similarly, pricing in major financial centres such as Shanghai, Singapore, Manhattan and London is supported by the high level of demand for space in these buildings from financial services businesses, in particular,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHowever, pricing for tall buildings in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/03\/03\/melbourne-sydney-see-property-price-growth\/\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Sydney, Melbourne<\/a> and Taipei is likely to move more rapidly in the next two years, and we expect to see investors in search of trophy assets looking beyond the major financial centres,\u201d he concluded.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hong Kong\u2019s skyscrapers are the most costly commercial real estate in the world, a new analysis using rental values and yields has revealed.
