{"id":2602,"date":"2017-04-11T07:00:42","date_gmt":"2017-04-11T06:00:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.buyassociation.co.uk\/?p=2602"},"modified":"2017-04-11T07:00:42","modified_gmt":"2017-04-11T06:00:42","slug":"buy-let-still-seen-attractive-investment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/zh-hk\/2017\/04\/11\/buy-let-still-seen-attractive-investment\/","title":{"rendered":"Buy-to-let still seen as an attractive investment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The buy-to-let sector is still seen as an attractive investment option despite the Government\u2019s crackdown, data from bridging lender Market Financial Solutions has revealed.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The lender surveyed 1,000 investors out of which 37% stated they still see <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2016\/12\/12\/property-investors-ready-get-build-rent-sector-big-time\/\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">buy-to-let as an attractive investment<\/a> whilst 27% said they\u2019d put their money elsewhere.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"EBNXFf9Fn7\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/04\/03\/buy-let-tax-changes-investors-guide-changes-happening-april-2017\/\">Buy-to-let tax changes: The investor\u2019s guide to changes happening in April 2017<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; clip: rect(1px, 1px, 1px, 1px);\" title=\"&#8220;Buy-to-let tax changes: The investor\u2019s guide to changes happening in April 2017&#8221; &#8212; BuyAssociation Group\" src=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/04\/03\/buy-let-tax-changes-investors-guide-changes-happening-april-2017\/embed\/#?secret=eu0TYJ00hN#?secret=EBNXFf9Fn7\" data-secret=\"EBNXFf9Fn7\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>After a rather rough time, stacked with measures in an attempt to dampen down the sector, the buy-to-let market has recently experienced another hit: the changes made to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2016\/10\/25\/mortgage-tax-relief-changes-wont-stop-landlords\/\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">mortgage tax relief<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Some investors are now looking for new ways of financing as 37% are considering short-term and alternative lending options for the next two years whilst the UK departs from the EU.<\/p>\n<p>However, only 9% of participants said the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/03\/31\/brexit-big-change-little-impact-countrys-property-market\/\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Brexit negotiations may derail any further investment decisions<\/a> they had planned.<\/p>\n<p>Paresh Raja, chief executive of MFS, said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cUK investors have spoken loud and clear, signalling their intent to continuing pursuing investment opportunities during the two-year Brexit negotiations that are now underway.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cHowever, this research reveals that they are doing so with a more short-term and open-minded mentality, as investors seek different investment types to secure returns before the true effects of Brexit set in.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"f5dyrjLE6L\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/03\/22\/tax-change-biggest-risk-buy-let-investors\/\">Is tax change the biggest risk for buy-to-let investors?<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; clip: rect(1px, 1px, 1px, 1px);\" title=\"&#8220;Is tax change the biggest risk for buy-to-let investors?&#8221; &#8212; BuyAssociation Group\" src=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/03\/22\/tax-change-biggest-risk-buy-let-investors\/embed\/#?secret=EYHIBd5JOg#?secret=f5dyrjLE6L\" data-secret=\"f5dyrjLE6L\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Although the amount of tax and legislation reforms thrown at the country\u2019s landlords seems extraordinarily huge, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/03\/29\/landlords-show-optimism-britains-buy-let-future\/\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">overall interest in buy-to-let investments remains huge<\/a>. A resilience that\u2019s probably \u201cspurred on by the health of the property market and unrelenting rental demand\u201d, as Raja puts it.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cWhat\u2019s more, within the coming 24 months of Brexit negotiations, a large number of investors are turning to alternative finance and short-term lending options to enable them to execute a responsive investment strategy in light of the long-term uncertainty surrounding Britain\u2019s political and economic landscape.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The buy-to-let sector is still seen as an attractive investment option despite the Government\u2019s crackdown, data from bridging lender Market Financial Solutions has revealed.
