The historic town in South Buckinghamshire which is only 40 minutes commute from London sees homes trading at 189% (the equivalent of \u00a3652,178) above the county average.<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"E91\"><span id=\"E92\" class=\"qowt-font3-Arial\">Following in Beaconsfield\u2019s footsteps are the Sussex towns of Lewes <\/span><span id=\"E93\" class=\"qowt-font3-Arial\">and Midhurst <\/span><span id=\"E94\" class=\"qowt-font3-Arial\">with an average house price of \u00a3408,641<\/span><span id=\"E95\" class=\"qowt-font3-Arial\"> and <\/span><span id=\"E96\" class=\"qowt-font3-Arial\">\u00a3403,893<\/span><span id=\"E97\" class=\"qowt-font3-Arial\"> respectively<\/span><span id=\"E98\" class=\"qowt-font3-Arial\">. <\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"E99\"><span id=\"E100\" class=\"qowt-font3-Arial\">T<\/span><span id=\"E101\" class=\"qowt-font3-Arial\">he premium for market towns contin<\/span><span id=\"E102\" class=\"qowt-font3-Arial\">ues in the north of the country, but <\/span><span id=\"E103\" class=\"qowt-font3-Arial\">significantly, <\/span><span id=\"E104\" class=\"qowt-font3-Arial\">bargains can still be found, with forty percent of <\/span><span id=\"E105\" class=\"qowt-font3-Arial\">market towns with the lowest house prices located in the north-east.<\/span><span id=\"E106\" class=\"qowt-font3-Arial\"> For those looking to invest in a market town, Durha<\/span><span id=\"E107\" class=\"qowt-font3-Arial\">m\u2019<\/span><span id=\"E108\" class=\"qowt-font3-Arial\">s Ferryhill has an average house price of just \u00a378,000.<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"E109\"><span id=\"E110\" class=\"qowt-font3-Arial\">&#8220;Homes in market towns typically command a significant premium over their neighbouring towns.<\/span><span id=\"E111\" class=\"qowt-font3-Arial\"> <\/span><span id=\"E112\" class=\"qowt-font3-Arial\">The quality of life benefits often associated with living in such locations<\/span><span id=\"E113\" class=\"qowt-font3-Arial\"> <\/span><span id=\"E114\" class=\"qowt-font3-Arial\">are<\/span><span id=\"E115\" class=\"qowt-font3-Arial\"> <\/span><span id=\"E116\" class=\"qowt-font3-Arial\">still proving popular among homebuyers.
