Often, parents of young children have to pay\u00a0<\/span>considerably\u00a0<\/span>more for a house within the catchment\u00a0<\/span>area\u00a0<\/span>of a top school. However, the best schools aren\u2019t always in the most expensive areas.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Telegraph\u00a0<\/span><\/i>analysed\u00a0<\/span>the most affordable areas with\u00a0<\/span>primary and secondary\u00a0<\/span>schools rated \u201coutstanding\u201d by\u00a0<\/span>Ofsted,\u00a0<\/span>the\u00a0<\/span>Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Outside of London,<\/span>\u00a0over a\u00a0<\/span>third of schools rated this high are in areas with average house prices lower than \u00a3200,000.<\/span>\u00a0Schools ranked \u201cgood\u201d saw these numbers rise to 43.2%.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Liverpool leads the way<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/b>in<\/span><\/b>\u00a0afforda<\/span><\/b>bility\u00a0<\/span><\/b>and<\/span><\/b>\u00a0top<\/span><\/b>\u00a0primary schools<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

In England, there are 11 areas with top ranked primary schools paired with average property prices below \u00a360,000. The majority of these areas are in the north-east and\u00a0<\/span>north-west<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0<\/span>In<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Th<\/span><\/i>e\u00a0<\/span><\/i>Telegraph<\/span><\/i>\u2019s top-20, Liverpool\u00a0<\/span>led<\/span>\u00a0the\u00a0<\/span>way<\/span>\u00a0with<\/span>\u00a0five\u00a0<\/span>different\u00a0<\/span>postcodes<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>fitting the bil<\/span>l<\/span>, boasting average prices\u00a0<\/span>between<\/span>\u00a0\u00a353,000 and \u00a359,950.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

With house prices that are rising\u00a0<\/span>but still affordable\u00a0<\/span>and a market moving with the times,\u00a0<\/span>Liverpool<\/span><\/a>\u00a0has caught the interest of homebuyers and\u00a0<\/span>investors<\/span><\/a>\u00a0alike<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span>Other northern\u00a0<\/span>towns and\u00a0<\/span>cities<\/span>\u00a0were<\/span>\u00a0represented on the list<\/span>, including\u00a0<\/span>two postcodes\u00a0<\/span>in<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Middlesbrough<\/span>, which featured the lowest average house prices,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>and Bradford.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The north offers affordable areas\u00a0<\/span><\/b>with\u00a0<\/span><\/b>prestigious<\/span><\/b>\u00a0secondary schools<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

Living near a top second<\/span>ary<\/span>\u00a0school will cost slightly more than primary schools, but there are still affordable<\/span>\u00a0options<\/span>. The north of England was once again well represented\u00a0<\/span>in the top-20, including nine postcodes in the north-west and six in Yorkshire<\/span>\u00a0and The Humber<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>With average house prices ranging from \u00a361,000 to \u00a374,500,\u00a0<\/span>Bradford had six postcodes on the list<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Preston,\u00a0<\/span>Manchester,\u00a0<\/span>and Birmingham\u00a0<\/span>each<\/span>\u00a0had a post<\/span>c<\/span>ode in the top-20.\u00a0<\/span>As Preston was named the UK\u2019s\u00a0<\/span>most improved city<\/span><\/a>\u00a0to live and work in last year, Manchester\u00a0<\/span>has<\/span>\u00a0one of the\u00a0<\/span>fastest growing economies<\/span><\/a>, and Birmingham was named the UK\u2019s\u00a0<\/span>safest place to live in<\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/span>in 2018<\/span>,\u00a0<\/span>the north proves to have viable options for\u00a0<\/span>homebuyers, especially those looking\u00a0<\/span>for\u00a0<\/span>affordable housing prices\u00a0<\/span>and top-rated state schools<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
