All of these places list 90% of their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/02\/06\/manchester-property-prices-will-grow-28-2\/\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">properties for sale<\/a> at a price below the national average of \u00a3217,502.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"0IN06FijA9\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2016\/11\/29\/two-hour-commute-property-prices-make-reality\/\">A two-hour commute? Property prices make it reality!<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; clip: rect(1px, 1px, 1px, 1px);\" title=\"&#8220;A two-hour commute? Property prices make it reality!&#8221; &#8212; BuyAssociation Group\" src=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2016\/11\/29\/two-hour-commute-property-prices-make-reality\/embed\/#?secret=h2DIGTXzf1#?secret=0IN06FijA9\" data-secret=\"0IN06FijA9\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Kingston upon Hull has 91.9% of homes listed below this price, Birkenhead and Kilmarnock both have 91.8% listed below average and Middlesbrough has 90.2% of properties listed at a lower price than average.<\/p>\n<p>The HouseSimple report also had a closer look at the most expensive regions, especially <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/04\/24\/londons-property-prices-dropped-10000-last-12-months\/\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">outside of London<\/a>. Those least affordable areas include Brighton, Bath, Guildford, Tunbridge Wells and Crawley. In all of these cities only 10% of properties or less have a current price tag below national average.<\/p>\n<p>Alex Gosling, chief executive officer at HouseSimple, explained:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/02\/06\/lack-affordable-homes-stay\/\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">The lack of affordable properties<\/a> in the UK has become a recurring theme as house prices have continued to rise. So, it will probably come as a surprise to many people, that there are still major towns and cities where almost every property for sale is below the UK average house price.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cAverage salaries in these areas may still restrict people from buying a property but at least there\u2019s a pool of properties that someone with a small deposit could afford. And towns such as Hull and Grimsby offer hope to the many first time buyers trying to climb on the property ladder, with more than half of the current stock on the market below \u00a3100,000,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"EDLWTJFgyr\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/02\/27\/oxford-named-uks-least-affordable-place-live\/\">Oxford again named UK\u2019s least affordable place to live<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; clip: rect(1px, 1px, 1px, 1px);\" title=\"&#8220;Oxford again named UK\u2019s least affordable place to live&#8221; &#8212; BuyAssociation Group\" src=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/02\/27\/oxford-named-uks-least-affordable-place-live\/embed\/#?secret=t90ZhLojwX#?secret=EDLWTJFgyr\" data-secret=\"EDLWTJFgyr\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>However, Gosling also pointed out that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/02\/16\/property-investment-england-focus-south-east\/\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">England\u2019s South<\/a> experienced a very different process. As Bath and Brighton are both very popular cities, especially with Londoners who want to move out and get more enjoyment out of life, prices have rocketed with it. For many, this meant moving away was the only option as they couldn\u2019t afford the inflated prices.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cLess than 10% of properties in these cities are below the average UK property price, and properties under \u00a3100,000 are almost extinct.
