But, like with most things to do with the country\u2019s decision to say farewell to the EU, uncertainty is ever-present. So what will property look like in the post-Brexit world? And how much of an influence will <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2016\/11\/10\/will-trumps-election-good-news-uk-property\/\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Donald Trump\u2019s election<\/a> have on the market?<\/p>\n<p><strong>The bigger picture<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Property performance is very closely related to economic growth. This means, whatever will happen to the country\u2019s economy will probably also happen to its housing market. Looking at the property market from that angle, one would assume that the market bears its biggest potential for those looking for long-term income over short-term capital growth.<\/p>\n<p>Considering the environment we\u2019re currently in; one with low growth, low interest and low bond yields, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2016\/12\/08\/top-spots-property-demand-revealed\/\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">property will remain an attractive income stream for investors<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>A question of supply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For the moment, transaction values have dropped over the last nine months. This fall, combined with any uncertainty the market may experience, will delay a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2016\/11\/08\/house-price-growth-standstill-october\/\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">growth in prices<\/a> to a certain point.<\/p>\n<p>It might, however, also be important to keep in mind that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2016\/12\/09\/rental-supply-on-the-up\/\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">supply is another driving factor<\/a> when it comes to house price growth. The number of homes available in the UK is still far below what is necessary to meet the demand.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The market\u2019s Trump card<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We might not know what exactly post-Brexit Britain will look like but we know even less about Donald Trump\u2019s ideas on how to run a country; his views on trade, commerce, immigration or investment. Any assumption that a Trump residency means higher business investment, greater Government spending and lower taxes and regulation is unrealistic at best. At least in the long run.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"vdSU2D2VK9\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2016\/12\/12\/property-investors-ready-get-build-rent-sector-big-time\/\">Property investors ready to get into build-to-rent sector.
