Some of the neighbourhoods in question have become more gentrified as younger people are being more and more priced out of homeownership.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"Av0GXtwBfY\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2016\/12\/06\/manchesters-revival-leading-norths-property-explosion\/\">Manchester\u2019s revival is leading the North\u2019s property explosion<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; clip: rect(1px, 1px, 1px, 1px);\" title=\"&#8220;Manchester\u2019s revival is leading the North\u2019s property explosion&#8221; &#8212; BuyAssociation Group\" src=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2016\/12\/06\/manchesters-revival-leading-norths-property-explosion\/embed\/#?secret=kFpRfZj8yu#?secret=Av0GXtwBfY\" data-secret=\"Av0GXtwBfY\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Zoopla identified <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2016\/10\/31\/east-london-boroughs-top-airbnb-league\/\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Dalston in East London<\/a> as the top hipster hotspot with an increase in property prices of almost 60% in five years.<\/p>\n<p>Other <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2016\/10\/14\/prime-central-london-recovery-strong-says-agent\/\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">London boroughs experiencing similar growth<\/a> are Shoreditch, Stratford, Tooting and Stoke Newington. The property website, however, also listed a fair few suburbs in cities outside of London as their property values rose due to growing popularity.<\/p>\n<p>Brsitol\u2019s Montpelier has previously already been called the country\u2019s coolest place to live at and experienced an increase in prices of 40% since 2011.<\/p>\n<p>House prices in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2016\/11\/08\/manchester-sells-property-two-weeks-faster\/\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Chorlton in Manchester<\/a> jumped up by 28% in five years, whilst Penarth in Wales saw an increase of 23% due to its spectacular views and close proximity to Cardiff.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"krBBAzgMmC\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2016\/12\/06\/london-home-almost-one-fifth-uks-generation-rent\/\">London is home to almost one fifth of UK\u2019s Generation Rent<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; clip: rect(1px, 1px, 1px, 1px);\" title=\"&#8220;London is home to almost one fifth of UK\u2019s Generation Rent&#8221; &#8212; BuyAssociation Group\" src=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2016\/12\/06\/london-home-almost-one-fifth-uks-generation-rent\/embed\/#?secret=lfBJQapb5z#?secret=krBBAzgMmC\" data-secret=\"krBBAzgMmC\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2016\/11\/23\/the-top-10-of-property-investment-birmingham\/\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham<\/a> was another area identified as a hipster hotspot with property values increasing by 31% over the last five years, Edinburgh\u2019s Leigh saw a growth of 13% and Glasgow\u2019s Finnieston experienced a 20% increase over the same time.<\/p>\n<p>Lawrence Hall, a spokesman for Zoopla, said: \u201cAs cities change shape and property prices continue to climb, it is inevitable that run-down areas are revived to accommodate growing resident numbers, resulting in new trendy hotspots starting to appear.<\/p>\n<p>\u201dGiven London&#8217;s population and size, and the city&#8217;s ongoing gentrification process, it&#8217;s not surprising to see the capital&#8217;s edgy enclaves dominating the hipster hotspot rankings.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>With gentrification happening across UK cities, we have seen a shift in price for these areas over the past five years as well as a new set of residents for these hotpots in these ever-growing cities.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>These are Britain\u2019s top 10 hipster hotspots by house price growth (with average % increase in property prices since 2011 and average property price in 2016):<\/p>\n<p><strong>1.
