However, prices vary dramatically in different regions as some areas have seen a considerable slowdown in growth.<\/p>\n<p>London, for example, is one of those places where <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/05\/29\/number-home-buyers-london-drops-19-first-quarter\/\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">property price growth<\/a> has fallen from 13% to only 3% over the last twelve months alone.<\/p>\n<p>Similarly, Cambridge also experienced a slowdown in growth, with rates dropping from 13% down to only 2%.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Hometrack figures, larger regional cities experienced the biggest growth over the last quarter. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/01\/16\/londons-property-market-says-no-birmingham-will-welcome\/\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Birmingham<\/a> and Nottingham both saw an increase of 3.8%, Newcastle of 3.5% and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/06\/16\/manchester-named-top-ten-best-buy-let-investment-areas\/\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Manchester<\/a> of 3.3%.<\/p>\n<p><strong>House price growth in these more regional cities is supported by a lack of supply and an ever <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/06\/23\/drastic-fall-homes-rent-uk-since-2011\/\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">increasing &#8211; and growing &#8211; demand<\/a> from both, investors and those looking to relocate from the South. <\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"rHSx9Ro33X\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/05\/29\/house-price-growth-slowed-lot-englands-south\/\">House price growth has slowed down a lot in England\u2019s South<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; clip: rect(1px, 1px, 1px, 1px);\" title=\"&#8220;House price growth has slowed down a lot in England\u2019s South&#8221; &#8212; BuyAssociation Group\" src=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/05\/29\/house-price-growth-slowed-lot-englands-south\/embed\/#?secret=FWSrT6xOlN#?secret=rHSx9Ro33X\" data-secret=\"rHSx9Ro33X\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The report also suggests that affordability and uncertainty are affecting demand in the capital, which currently shows the lowest annual growth rate in five years.
