{"id":2885,"date":"2017-06-12T13:00:49","date_gmt":"2017-06-12T12:00:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.buyassociation.co.uk\/?p=2885"},"modified":"2017-06-12T13:00:49","modified_gmt":"2017-06-12T12:00:49","slug":"connectivity-becoming-important-many-buying-property","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-hk\/2017\/06\/12\/connectivity-becoming-important-many-buying-property\/","title":{"rendered":"Connectivity is becoming more important to many when buying a property"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>What used to be \u201cLocation, location, location!\u201d might soon be \u201cConnection, connection, connection!\u201d as a reliable broadband connection and clear mobile signal is becoming increasingly important to many buyers in the UK.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Research put together by GoCompare Insurance found that 66% of participants want to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/06\/06\/city-house-price-growth-uk-city-made-biggest-jump\/\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">buy in a good area and neighbourhood<\/a>, 59% are looking for an area with a low crime rate, 51% are looking for good shops nearby and 44% thinks it\u2019s important to be close to a doctor or dentist.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"TEdVQjWp4X\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/06\/07\/newcastle-leads-uk-family-living-index\/\">Newcastle leads UK Family Living Index<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; clip: rect(1px, 1px, 1px, 1px);\" title=\"&#8220;Newcastle leads UK Family Living Index&#8221; &#8212; BuyAssociation Group\" src=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/06\/07\/newcastle-leads-uk-family-living-index\/embed\/#?secret=fTOpWlKxNb#?secret=TEdVQjWp4X\" data-secret=\"TEdVQjWp4X\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>However, the research also showed that 43% of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/02\/28\/uk-property-every-house-now-got-11-hunters\/\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">house hunters<\/a> want a good and reliable internet connection that\u2019s strong enough to stream TV and films. This is closely followed by a strong mobile phone signal, which is important to 42%.<\/p>\n<p>About 39% are asking for superfast broadband, 33% would like a landline telephone connection and 31% want <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/05\/15\/new-tram-stops-boost-house-prices-cities-like-manchester-birmingham\/\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">tram, bus or underground stops nearby<\/a>. And 27% are looking for satellite TV.<\/p>\n<p>The things valued highly a couple of years ago, such as a pub, family sized garden, recreation facilities and schools nearly aren\u2019t as important any more as connectivity. After all, while you can improve a property, you can\u2019t move it. But it is too simple these days to say that it is the only consideration.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cHomeowners also expect to be connected in a way that wasn\u2019t envisaged even 10 years ago. They will want to know about the transport infrastructure and communications as much as the schools, shops and amenities.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cThe location of a property will also affect the amount you pay for home buildings and contents insurance.
