{"id":2860,"date":"2017-06-07T07:00:43","date_gmt":"2017-06-07T06:00:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.buyassociation.co.uk\/?p=2860"},"modified":"2017-06-07T07:00:43","modified_gmt":"2017-06-07T06:00:43","slug":"newcastle-leads-uk-family-living-index","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-hk\/2017\/06\/07\/newcastle-leads-uk-family-living-index\/","title":{"rendered":"Newcastle leads UK Family Living Index"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Good schools, low crime rates and an average house price of around \u00a3161,000 makes the Northern city the ideal place to start a family, a new research shows.<\/strong> <\/p>\n<p>A survey put together by MoneySupermarket.com revealed that Newcastle has been voted best place to raise a family due to its low crime rates, good schools and affordable <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/05\/30\/uk-house-prices-waitrose-effect\/\" target>house prices<\/a>. <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"ijDRECYYDi\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/06\/06\/city-house-price-growth-uk-city-made-biggest-jump\/\">City house price growth: Which UK city made the biggest jump?<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; clip: rect(1px, 1px, 1px, 1px);\" title=\"&#8220;City house price growth: Which UK city made the biggest jump?&#8221; &#8212; BuyAssociation Group\" src=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/06\/06\/city-house-price-growth-uk-city-made-biggest-jump\/embed\/#?secret=KVC1xKHzGs#?secret=ijDRECYYDi\" data-secret=\"ijDRECYYDi\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>During the survey, the city had to compete with 34 other places across the UK to gain the biggest backing and most support for its family-friendly environment. <\/p>\n<p>The research was based in six categories, including the number of outstanding schools, job opportunities, parks, burglaries, house prices as well as average income. <\/p>\n<p><strong>In the end Newcastle ranked top or above in most of the six categories. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When it comes to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/04\/12\/uk-house-prices-least-affordable-regions\/\" target>affordable housing<\/a>, the North\u2019s rising star scored highly due to its low average house price of \u00a3161,255 compared to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/05\/18\/5-surprising-factors-impact-house-prices\/\" target>country\u2019s average<\/a> of \u00a3232,885. <\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, the city was awarded 10 out of 10 for its outstanding schools per head of population and low for house burglaries. <\/p>\n<p>Whilst Newcastle also ranked above average for its variety in parks, it dropped slightly when it came to job opportunities due to a lack of available positions.
