The city\u2019s average house price of \u00a3385,372 is now exactly 10.7 times the average annual wage of \u00a336,033.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The UK\u2019s most affordable city is Stirling in Scotland with an average house price of \u00a3173,847, equalling 3.7 times the average regional salary. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Lloyds first started its annual analysis in 2004 and has since revealed that the affordability crisis incorporates a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/01\/03\/british-expats-buying-london-south-east\/\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">major part of England\u2019s south<\/a>, as this statistic by The Guardian reflects.<\/p>\n<p>Across Britain as a whole, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/01\/11\/largest-rise-uk-house-prices-since-march\/\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">average house price<\/a> has increased by 32% over the last five years, from \u00a3169,966 in 2012 to \u00a3224,926 in 2017.
