Japanese housebuilder\u00a0<\/span>Sekisui House<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span>is entering the UK residential housing market after agreeing to invest \u00a322 million of new equity.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The deal\u00a0<\/span>means<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Sekisui\u00a0<\/span><\/i>working with\u00a0<\/span>Homes England<\/span><\/i>\u00a0and taking a 35% equity stake in the developer\u00a0<\/span>Urban Splash\u2019s<\/span><\/i>\u00a0modular house business.\u00a0 The Government\u2019<\/span>s<\/span>\u00a0Home Building Fund delivered through\u00a0<\/span>Homes England<\/span><\/i>\u00a0has agreed to fund \u00a330 million of equity and debt financing.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The injection of \u00a390 million into the UK housing market will lead to thousands of new homes being built across\u00a0<\/span><\/b>England<\/span><\/b>.<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Faster production of new homes<\/span><\/b>\u00a0working with local\u00a0<\/span><\/b>communities<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

This latest deal will mean that\u00a0<\/span>the UK\u2019s modular housing industry\u00a0<\/span>is able to take a big step towards the modern building model of producing homes in factories which will speed\u00a0<\/span>up production of much-needed new homes<\/span>, that are then shipped out to sites<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
