Prime Central London estate agent\u00a0Lurot Brand<\/i>, recently installed what they believe is the biggest screen on record in any estate agent\u2019s window in the UK.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The huge screen, which measures a whopping\u00a0120cm (48 inches) by 198cm(78inches) so 226cm on the diagonal which is how they measure\u00a0televisions,\u00a0making it 7\u20194\u2019\u2019 or (89 inches).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It is<\/b>\u00a0three times brighter than a normal\u00a0<\/b>television, but is completely glare proof.\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

James Robinson, general manager,\u00a0Lurot Brand<\/i>\u00a0 said: \u201cThere may be larger televisions on the back walls of estate agents offices but not in their actual shop windows as normal televisions are not bright enough to deal with direct sunlight.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Mr Robinson adds: \u201cThis screen\u00a0has a\u00a0three\u00a0gig built in hard drive which allows\u00a0the user to download what they want to play,\u00a0 or\u00a0 run\u00a0 it\u00a0 through\u00a0 Wifi,\u00a0 USB,\u00a0 LAN,\u00a0 HDMI\u00a0 or\u00a0 with\u00a0 the\u00a0 iPhone\u00a0 App.\u00a0 They can switch between the carousel property programme, to video tours of mews streets from the remarkably simple phone App.\u00a0A television this size can be bought for \u00a37000 however ours cost more than \u00a315,000.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Screen installation causes a storm<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Sam Cook,\u00a0managing director at\u00a0Urban Storm<\/i>, the company responsible for installing the screen, had his eureka moment in 1988, when he saw scaffolding safety netting as a potential opportunity for printed advertising.\u00a0\u00a0 At the age of just 18 years old, he created a company that took his vision to a global audience.\u00a0 Urban Storm has since diversified to focus on the installation of the vast digital advertising screens as seen in Piccadilly Circus, London\u2019s arterial roads, shopping malls and at football stadiums.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

James Robinson,\u00a0general manager at Lurot Brand\u00a0 said:\u00a0\u201cOver a Guinness at The Cow, Notting Hill, Sam suggested it would be fun to fit one of his huge screens in the window of our Ladbroke Grove office, so we did.\u00a0 Being situated on the very busy Ladbroke Grove\/Holland Park Avenue junction, the screen is really eye catching and has been a resounding success.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0I firmly believe this is the future for estate agency windows. Unlike traditional window cards, the price and the details of the properties are updated automatically, as our software functions in real time, and people get really mesmerised by it!\u201d<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
