With this, renters can check on their future landlord before signing a lease, or they can find out who they\u2019re currently dealing with.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"sWLK59uxK7\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/04\/25\/right-woman-job-rise-female-landlord-infographic\/\">The right woman for the job? Other are set to follow once the tool is up and running.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, the mayor has also promised the launch of a property portal on the City Hall\u2019s website, as City AM reports. The portal will advertise <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/04\/12\/uk-house-prices-least-affordable-regions\/\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">affordable homes<\/a> on the rental and sales market in London.<\/p>\n<p>Khan stated:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;I refuse to stand by as thousands of Londoners suffer sky-high rents and horrendous living conditions in a city they call home. I want to be clear that the vast majority of landlords treat renters well, but a minority are exploiting their tenants and it&#8217;s simply unacceptable. It follows an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/04\/26\/estate-agents-urge-government-candidates-protect-property-market-stamp-duty-take-hits-new-high\/\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">additional stamp duty surcharge<\/a> which was introduced in April 2016 and a ban on letting agents fees announced in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2016\/12\/02\/will-autumn-statement-fee-ban-lead-rent-rises\/\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">last year\u2019s Autumn Statement<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Whilst both policies were fiercely opposed, the Government remained firm, keeping both regulation in place.
