Meanwhile, investors from Singapore only spent \u00a3785 million.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"7HCgOZ3GAz\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/03\/17\/asia-pacific-room-investment-growth\/\">Asia Pacific has room for investment growth<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; clip: rect(1px, 1px, 1px, 1px);\" title=\"&#8220;Asia Pacific has room for investment growth&#8221; &#8212; BuyAssociation Group\" src=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/03\/17\/asia-pacific-room-investment-growth\/embed\/#?secret=3gqB3tsSSl#?secret=7HCgOZ3GAz\" data-secret=\"7HCgOZ3GAz\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The research, which is based on completed transactions of \u00a38 billion and above, has cited the affordability of Malaysia as the main reason for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/03\/08\/chinese-buyers-invest-new-zealand\/\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">influx of Chinese buyers<\/a>, a belief that Cushman &amp; Wakefield shares.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Chinese investor today has a lot more options and has become more comfortable going to Europe and the US, but not everyone has the same options \u2013 Malaysia is much more affordable,\u201d explained Sigrid Zialcita, managing director of Asia-Pacific research at Cushman &amp; Wakefield.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cIf you compare prices, even between Malaysia and China, you are looking at a significant difference.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The Malaysian government actively encourages international investment via its Malaysia My Second Home scheme, a programme that allows foreigners to live in the country on a long-stay visa of up to 10 years providing that they have good health and enough funds to invest into the local economy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Malaysian property market is now proving more popular with buyers from China as opposed to those from Singapore, a recent report has revealed.
