For Scotland the index reported a monthly increase of 0.2% and a yearly rise of 1.6%.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"PKO6WCuFEN\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/03\/14\/average-price-home-will-get-across-britain\/\">What the average price of a home will get you across Britain<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; clip: rect(1px, 1px, 1px, 1px);\" title=\"&#8220;What the average price of a home will get you across Britain&#8221; &#8212; BuyAssociation Group\" src=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/03\/14\/average-price-home-will-get-across-britain\/embed\/#?secret=CGq21TfIJq#?secret=PKO6WCuFEN\" data-secret=\"PKO6WCuFEN\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>This latest growth increased the average asking price in England and Wales to \u00a3300,187 whilst <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/02\/23\/broken-londons-house-prices-one-graph\/\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Greater London<\/a> averages at \u00a3541,618 where asking prices had increased by 0.6% month-on-month but dropped by 1.5% year-on-year.<\/p>\n<p>Asking prices rose across all regions, apart from London, on a monthly basis. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/03\/09\/property-investment-england-focus-yorkshire-humber\/\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Yorkshire and the Humber<\/a> saw the strongest growth with 1.2% which according to Home\u2019s report is due to an increase activity by buy-to-let landlords.<\/p>\n<p>Some of England\u2019s regions continue to see a strong price growth, such as the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/01\/26\/property-investment-england-focus-east-england\/\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">East of England<\/a> with a growth of 9.6%, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/02\/23\/property-investment-england-focus-south-west\/\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">South West<\/a> at 4.2% and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/01\/19\/property-investment-england-focus-east-midlands\/\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">East Midlands<\/a> at 5.4%.<\/p>\n<p>The report also revealed another drop in UK property entering the market with a decrease of 6% year-on-year.<\/p>\n<p>According to Doug Shephard, director of Home.co.uk, the current state seems likely to stay in the UK\u2019s property market: \u201cWhilst this month\u2019s price rises indicate a typical seasonal lift, the overall trend towards lower year on year price growth continues. Rising inflation due to a weaker post Brexit pound means that capital values overall are not rising at all in real terms.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"xqUlz168Gk\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/02\/06\/manchester-property-prices-will-grow-28-2\/\">Manchester property prices will grow 28.2%<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; clip: rect(1px, 1px, 1px, 1px);\" title=\"&#8220;Manchester property prices will grow 28.2%&#8221; &#8212; BuyAssociation Group\" src=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/02\/06\/manchester-property-prices-will-grow-28-2\/embed\/#?secret=rJRtCwiVZU#?secret=xqUlz168Gk\" data-secret=\"xqUlz168Gk\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>\u201cHowever, there is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/01\/31\/meet-property-hotspots-2017-manchester-birmingham-edinburgh\/\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">significant growth in several regions over and above the rate of inflation<\/a>. Vendor confidence remains high in certain regions and is most apparent in the East of England, East Midlands, North West and South West.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cWhilst the slowdown persists in London and the South East, brought on by oversupply and overly high prices, it is these more outlying regions that are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/01\/16\/londons-property-market-says-no-birmingham-will-welcome\/\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">lending the greatest support to the national housing market figures<\/a>. But the pace of the price increases seems unsustainable in view of affordability constraints and comparatively low rental yields.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cHowever, as we approach the end of the first quarter of 2017 with a continually declining year on year price trend, UK property looks fated to endure a year of stagflation at best.
