{"id":2109,"date":"2017-01-17T07:00:11","date_gmt":"2017-01-17T07:00:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.buyassociation.co.uk\/?p=2109"},"modified":"2023-09-27T11:49:22","modified_gmt":"2023-09-27T10:49:22","slug":"propertys-condition-important-50-british-renters","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/01\/17\/propertys-condition-important-50-british-renters\/","title":{"rendered":"A property\u2019s condition is very important to more than 50% of British renters"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The state a rental property is in is the most important consideration for new tenants in the UK private rental sector, followed by a landlord\u2019s quality and value for money.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A research has revealed that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2016\/11\/07\/tenants-dilemma-steep-rent-rises-no-property-ladder-sight\/\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">52% of tenants think the state a rental home<\/a> is in is extremely important to make a decision to rent whilst another 46% say having a reliable, good landlord is equally as important.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"ksRg57rxuU\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2016\/11\/18\/good-tenant-bad-tenant-infographic\/\">The good tenant and the bad tenant [Infographic]<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; clip: rect(1px, 1px, 1px, 1px);\" title=\"&#8220;The good tenant and the bad tenant [Infographic]&#8221; &#8212; BuyAssociation Group\" src=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2016\/11\/18\/good-tenant-bad-tenant-infographic\/embed\/#?secret=eUupHLREFj#?secret=ksRg57rxuU\" data-secret=\"ksRg57rxuU\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Property agents Your Move compiled the survey and furthermore stated that 45% of renters want value for money and 38% say <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2016\/09\/23\/manchesters-best-buy-let-postcodes\/\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">the property\u2019s location<\/a> is extremely important.<\/p>\n<p>Another 31% stated parking is extremely important to them, 24% are looking for a low maintenance home and 20% want good storage space.<\/p>\n<p>Things that are not as important to tenants are: having a garden, communal space and any additional services. Only a mere 17% rated having a garden as extremely important, 10% named communal space as the main factor and 7% were looking for additional services.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The research also stated an overall high level of satisfaction amongst its participants. A total of 66% of renters said they were <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2016\/10\/08\/renting-property-uk-become-first-choice\/\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">either happy or very happy with their current living situation<\/a>.
