{"id":1963,"date":"2016-12-19T12:00:44","date_gmt":"2016-12-19T12:00:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.buyassociation.co.uk\/?p=1963"},"modified":"2023-09-27T11:20:29","modified_gmt":"2023-09-27T10:20:29","slug":"estate-agents-uk-property-sales-will-steady-2017","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2016\/12\/19\/estate-agents-uk-property-sales-will-steady-2017\/","title":{"rendered":"Estate Agents: UK Property sales will be steady in 2017"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Residential property sales in the UK are forecast to remain steady across the country in 2017, estate agents have revealed.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With 2016 drawing to an end, a year of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2016\/12\/16\/pessimistic-brexit-countrys-economy\/\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">surprising political decisions and economic uncertainty<\/a>, almost half of estate agents (43%) believe that prices will stay the same over the years to come, research from the National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA) has revealed.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"dC5JEPrP42\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2016\/12\/16\/private-landlords-turn-agencies-retain-profit\/\">Private Landlords turn to Agencies to Retain Profit<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; clip: rect(1px, 1px, 1px, 1px);\" title=\"&#8220;Private Landlords turn to Agencies to Retain Profit&#8221; &#8212; BuyAssociation Group\" src=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2016\/12\/16\/private-landlords-turn-agencies-retain-profit\/embed\/#?secret=7hZ9CeC9kJ#?secret=dC5JEPrP42\" data-secret=\"dC5JEPrP42\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The research finds that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2016\/12\/09\/house-prices-grew-faster-november-halifax-says\/\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">house price growth<\/a> may stall and therefore first-time buyers will find it easier to make it onto the market.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The association thinks first-time buyers should be in a better spot to buy homes that need some work done on them in 2017, another year of possible ups-and-downs in the country\u2019s political development.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, the association also pointed out that the Government did a good job identifying policy holes and changing them to help the country <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2016\/11\/21\/number-affordable-homes-uk-continues-majestic-fall\/\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">build more homes<\/a>. However, the property market is mostly still feeling the effects of events which happened last year,\u201d said Mark Hayward, NAEA managing director.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe high end London property market is suffering at the hands of increased stamp duty taxes, and while Brexit uncertainty definitely hasn\u2019t helped repair this, it\u2019s not the sole reason why London\u2019s more expensive properties aren\u2019t being snapped up at the same speed they were,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Next year, we expect it\u2019ll be more of the same; there won\u2019t be a property Armageddon, but things won\u2019t get much better for first time buyers, and those looking to up or downsize.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Residential property sales in the UK are forecast to remain steady across the country in 2017, estate agents have revealed.
