And interest seems to be growing at almost the same speed.<\/strong> <\/p>\n<p>Post Office Money Mortgages <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2016\/08\/16\/top-10-property-investment-manchester\/\" target>named Manchester<\/a> as one of the cities with the highest level of popularity in the UK. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Examining the average time it takes to sell a property, the report had a closer look at 20 major cities across the UK and found that, on average, it takes 91 days to sell.<\/strong> <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"d9UJJswkFD\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2016\/10\/29\/manchesters-attraction-east-chinese-investors\/\">Manchester\u2019s attraction to the east\u2026 and Chinese investors<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; clip: rect(1px, 1px, 1px, 1px);\" title=\"&#8220;Manchester\u2019s attraction to the east\u2026 and Chinese investors&#8221; &#8212; BuyAssociation Group\" src=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2016\/10\/29\/manchesters-attraction-east-chinese-investors\/embed\/#?secret=dRuosXE9FS#?secret=d9UJJswkFD\" data-secret=\"d9UJJswkFD\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>And although average house prices in Manchester went up by 8.9%, to 149,722, properties are still being snapped up 14 days faster than the national average, as they sell in just 77 days. <\/p>\n<p><strong>This is a decrease of of 22.7% compared to one year ago when it took 99 days to sell a property.<\/strong> <\/p>\n<p>With this, Manchester is the 11th fastest city to sell a home and ahead of its Northern Powerhouse brothers, Birmingham (takes 80 days) and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2016\/10\/03\/top-10-property-investment-liverpool\/\" target>Liverpool (takes 108 days)<\/a>. <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"0z4a049CcT\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2016\/10\/18\/northern-powerhouse-creating-property-investment-hotspots\/\">How the Northern Powerhouse is creating property investment hotspots<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; clip: rect(1px, 1px, 1px, 1px);\" title=\"&#8220;How the Northern Powerhouse is creating property investment hotspots&#8221; &#8212; BuyAssociation Group\" src=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2016\/10\/18\/northern-powerhouse-creating-property-investment-hotspots\/embed\/#?secret=SHUueaoqBe#?secret=0z4a049CcT\" data-secret=\"0z4a049CcT\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>The quickest to sell, however, were Bristol with 51 days and Edinburgh with 53 days.<\/strong> <\/p>\n<p>Cassie Sugrue, from JP &#038; Brimelow in Didsbury, told MEN: &#8220;We kind of class Didsbury as a mini London really as they go quite quickly, compared to other areas.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We&#8217;re coming up to a bit of an awkward time with Christmas coming up, properties are staying on the market a little bit longer.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;But yes, two weeks is the maximum time, if they are priced correctly. If a house doesn&#8217;t sell in Didsbury it&#8217;s because they aren&#8217;t priced correctly.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>John Willcock, Head of Mortgages at Post Office Money, said : \u201cHouse prices continue to rise across the country but eager sellers should remember that this might not be any guarantee of a successful sale.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The attractive asking prices can lead many people to put their property on the market, leading to competition in the local market.
