But where exactly are the areas where buying a buy-to-let investment property will get you the biggest returns?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>TotallyMoney, using data from property website Zoopla, put together a map of Britain highlighting the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2016\/10\/18\/northern-powerhouse-creating-property-investment-hotspots\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">best investment areas<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>A closer look reveals that, whilst high rental rates in London might make the capital attractive to begin with, hefty property prices put a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2016\/10\/07\/manchester-growth-outstrips-central-london\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">dampener on this excitement<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The map locates the best yields in Northern England and Scotland, whilst Wales\u2019 rural areas offer very little to savvy investors.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Here\u2019s a list of TotallyMoney\u2019s Top 10 postcodes and yields:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1. Liverpool (L7): 8.72%<\/li>\n<li>7. Manchester: 8.31%<\/li>\n<li>8. Sheffield (S1): 8.31%<\/li>\n<li>9. Huddersfield (HD1): 7.75%<\/li>\n<li>10.
