In total, 68% more people aged between 30 and 39 years have left the city over the last five years.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"r87D57DA2m\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/07\/18\/britains-rents-increased-1-1-yearly-dropped-london\/\">Britain\u2019s rents increased by 1.1% yearly, but dropped in London<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; clip: rect(1px, 1px, 1px, 1px);\" title=\"&#8220;Britain\u2019s rents increased by 1.1% yearly, but dropped in London&#8221; &#8212; BuyAssociation Group\" src=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/07\/18\/britains-rents-increased-1-1-yearly-dropped-london\/embed\/#?secret=TycsJSeZvO#?secret=r87D57DA2m\" data-secret=\"r87D57DA2m\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Another age bracket that\u2019s happy to leave the big city life behind are those aged 50 years and older as the number of departures has increased by 46% over the same period of time.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The only age bracket that saw an increase in new people moving to London were those <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2018\/06\/25\/finding-work-now-top-reason-for-moving-house-especially-for-millennials\/\">aged between 20 and 29 years<\/a> as the number of London-leavers in this group dropped by 9%.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The main reason to leave London behind is &#8211; according to the Savills data &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2018\/06\/06\/london-renters-being-priced-out-as-costs-rise-faster-than-wages\/\">unaffordable average house price<\/a>. Whilst an average home in London currently sets you back \u00a3579,836, the price for a property across the rest of the country only comes up to \u00a3333,181, and is therefore about \u00a3250,000 cheaper.<\/p>\n<p>Where those trying to get away are actually moving to is varied.
