All equally important as are the ambitious corporate business plans of those looking to build global platforms.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>This level of investment meant that Sydney beat San Francisco, LA and Hong Kong, but it was behind London, Paris, Berlin, Shanghai, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2018\/05\/01\/this-is-one-of-the-fastest-growing-housing-markets-in-the-world\/\">Dublin<\/a> and New York \u2013which saw $US16.3bn of foreign money invested into commercial property.<\/p>\n<p>However, Knight Frank also revealed that the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/06\/02\/australia-nsw-doubles-tax-foreign-buyers\/\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">depth of foreign investment<\/a> (compared with locals buying) varied greatly between the cities.<\/p>\n<p>Overseas buyers accounted for 40% of commercial property investments in New York, while in London foreign investors were responsible for 80% of deals in 2016.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"aYEQnIRGYS\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/04\/26\/ubs-forecasts-end-australian-bubble\/\">UBS forecasts end of Australian bubble<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; clip: rect(1px, 1px, 1px, 1px);\" title=\"&#8220;UBS forecasts end of Australian bubble&#8221; &#8212; BuyAssociation Group\" src=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/04\/26\/ubs-forecasts-end-australian-bubble\/embed\/#?secret=QhT6YphzD0#?secret=aYEQnIRGYS\" data-secret=\"aYEQnIRGYS\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Knight Frank joint head of institutional sales Paul Roberts said record levels of rental growth, significant public infrastructure improvements and low levels of net supply over the next three years would see continued demand from offshore investors.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the emerging markets, such as Australia and the UK, interest and activity in the multihousing sector is growing rapidly,\u201d the report concluded.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Knight Frank\u2019s recently released Active Capital report has revealed that $US5.7 billion was invested into Sydney\u2019s commercial property market in 2016.
