With this in mind, should we start being less negative about renting?<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"NVJ2Fc4N9l\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2016\/10\/08\/renting-property-uk-become-first-choice\/\">Why renting property in the UK should become a first choice<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; clip: rect(1px, 1px, 1px, 1px);\" title=\"&#8220;Why renting property in the UK should become a first choice&#8221; &#8212; BuyAssociation Group\" src=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2016\/10\/08\/renting-property-uk-become-first-choice\/embed\/#?secret=Zt0AaT5N6D#?secret=NVJ2Fc4N9l\" data-secret=\"NVJ2Fc4N9l\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>In other developed countries, the attitude towards renting is completely different. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/03\/28\/germany-now-europes-active-commercial-property-market\/\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">In Germany<\/a>, arguably the most successful economy in Europe, only 52% of the population own their own home (In comparison to around 66% in the UK).<\/p>\n<p>The percentage of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/04\/04\/uk-homeownership-falls-lowest-rate-since-1985\/\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">homeowners<\/a> in both Austria and Denmark is similarly low. Like Germany, purchasing property just isn\u2019t seen as a display of economic success in these countries. With other benefits such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/01\/17\/propertys-condition-important-50-british-renters\/\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">little to no maintenance costs<\/a> and less monetary risk than buying, it\u2019s not all bad.<\/p>\n<p>So let\u2019s be less negative about renting, and embrace this more flexible way of living!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In the UK, buying a house has long been seen as a mark of economic progress, a proud milestone to celebrate with friends and family.
