In fact, 32% of participants from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2016\/12\/15\/londons-housing-stagnated-whilst-rest-recovered\/\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">central London<\/a> claimed to have seen evidence that firms are looking to do so.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"U8McFOTsnp\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/01\/12\/cautious-optimism-uk-commercial-property-market-2017\/\">\u2018Cautious Optimism\u2019 for the UK Commercial Property Market in 2017<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; clip: rect(1px, 1px, 1px, 1px);\" title=\"&#8220;\u2018Cautious Optimism\u2019 for the UK Commercial Property Market in 2017&#8221; &#8212; BuyAssociation Group\" src=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/01\/12\/cautious-optimism-uk-commercial-property-market-2017\/embed\/#?secret=y67eEPWAkK#?secret=U8McFOTsnp\" data-secret=\"U8McFOTsnp\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/01\/05\/buyers-china-hong-kong-continue-investing-uk-property-despite-brexit\/\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">The weakness of the pound<\/a> is still a major incentive for overseas investors, despite recent increases in valuation spurred by Theresa May\u2019s speech. The pound rose to recent \u2018highest-lows\u2019 following confirmation that Brexit is still to be decided by a parliamentary vote.<\/p>\n<p>RICS Chief Economist, Simon Robinson said the survey indicated that \u201cthe commercial property market is continuing to attract investor interest despite ongoing concerns about pricing in the capital&#8221; and that the feedback was \u201cconsistent with a renewed appetite from overseas buyers for UK assets\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The Property Industry Alliance (PIA) are also in agreement that 2017 is likely to see continued support from overseas investors &#8211; who currently account for 28% of commercial UK real estate &#8211; with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/01\/24\/will-brexit-turn-britain-investment-safe-haven\/\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Brexit again providing the opportunities<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The PIA takes a different stance, vowing that Britain\u2019s decision to leave the EU provides investors with opportunities in the form of fairer tax policies, given the prime minister\u2019s recent suggestions, and much less in the way of red tape.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Indeed, the PIA were keen to point out that EU procurement regulations can be inefficient, complicated and thus misunderstood. By streamlining the process, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2016\/09\/28\/moodys-says-uk-commercial-property-robust-post-brexit\/\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">UK commercial property investment volume<\/a> would be set to increase significantly.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"zyRdeqpA3E\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/01\/27\/london-house-prices-collapse\/\">Could London house prices collapse?<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; clip: rect(1px, 1px, 1px, 1px);\" title=\"&#8220;Could London house prices collapse?&#8221; &#8212; BuyAssociation Group\" src=\"https:\/\/www.buyassociationgroup.com\/en-gb\/2017\/01\/27\/london-house-prices-collapse\/embed\/#?secret=iZvcvrts7X#?secret=zyRdeqpA3E\" data-secret=\"zyRdeqpA3E\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Investors showed continued support for UK property in the final quarter of 2016, with positive returns.
