Despite London ending the year below UK average for the first time in 8 years, UK annual house price growth ended 2016 at 4.5%, just as it had done in 2015, Nationwide reports.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to Halifax, house prices<\/a> in the three months to December were in fact 2.5% higher than the preceding quarter to September 2016 and 6.5% higher than the same three months of 2015.<\/p>\n
