Between 13 and 16 March this year, the annual MIPIM property market show will take place in Cannes, France, and it’s set to be the biggest year yet for Manchester with the second largest delegation of all 550 cities at the event.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Last year saw 113 partner organisations forming a delegation of 272 representatives in the Manchester Pavilion at MIPIM<\/a>, which was the biggest turnout since the city first attended the event back in 2000. This year, the Manchester at MIPIM Partnership hopes to grow the city’s presence even further, and the recently released programme reveals that the city will be teaming up with the London<\/a> Pavilion for the first time ever, with the two cities attracting the largest delegation of the show.<\/p>\n

Sir Richard Leese, leader of Manchester City Council, said: “MIPIM is a vital opportunity for Manchester<\/a> to promote itself on a global stage. For us to effectively capitalise on this opportunity, we need to make sure that our activity at the event is as wide-reaching, diverse and inclusive as possible.

“It\u2019s with this in mind that we\u2019ve made Manchester at MIPIM\u2019s 2018 events programme the busiest and most varied yet. We\u2019re looking forward to welcoming industry insight from some leading European<\/a> cities, as well as private and public sector speakers from across the Greater Manchester region.”<\/p>\n

The Manchester Pavilion covers 450 square metres along the Croissette in Cannes, and includes a major exhibition space allowing participants to showcase their offerings to delegates, which last year totalled more than 10,000. The Pavilion also includes a theatre-style event area accommodating a large audience for the week’s 23 events, as well as a cafe and networking hub, which was launched last year and has been extended for 2018.<\/p>\n

Who’s going to be there?<\/h4>\n

BuyAssociation<\/a> Marketplace will once again be returning to Manchester at MIPIM as a partner, alongside the likes of Deloitte, Allied London, CEG, and the councils of Bolton, Rochdale, Salford, Stockport and Trafford. You can read BuyAssociation’s blog post for the event here.<\/p>\n

Speakers will include Sir Richard Leese, leader of Manchester City Council, Paul Dennett, Mayor of Salford City Council, Steve Rotheram, Metro Mayor of Liverpool<\/a> City Region, and Theresa Grant, chief executive of Trafford Council.<\/p>\n
